Environment and sustainability

Taiao me te Toitūtanga

We take the sustainability of our operations very seriously – socially, economically, and environmentally and aim to be the preferred port for our customers and our people.

Our vision is to be a valued and trusted part of New Zealand’s supply chain and the wider Auckland community by championing sustainable business practices.

Our purpose is to facilitate the sustainable growth of trade for Auckland and the upper North Island. As a port located in the heart of the city, we must be smart not only about how we manage our day-to-day operations, but also how we prepare for the future with our customers and stakeholders.

Protecting our precious harbour and minimising impacts on our neighbours are at the forefront of our present-day operations and will be central to how we shape the sustainable future for the port, for our customers, Auckland’s economy and the wider New Zealand supply chain.
